Deputies from Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect Wednesday night, Nov. 4, 2020, in the theft of a shrimp boat from a marina in Murrells Inlet.
Daniel Connor Janowski, 28, of Golden, Col., was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle that was recovered from the parking lot at Marlin Quay Marina.
Janowski is accused of taking the Lila Lee, a refurbished trawler that was recovered after being found on a sand bar north of Murrells Inlet. A deputy from Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and an officer from the S.C. Department of Natural Resources took Janowski into custody while he was in a dinghy preparing to board a boat near Georgetown harbor.
Janowski is being held at Georgetown County Detention Center, pending a bond hearing.

  1. Andy Andy I know this man and he is an idiot. He is no Forest Gump, that's for sure! Friday, November 6, 2020
  2. Michael Michael Andy, I agree with you about what he did was stupid. We're all stupid in one way or another. Daniel is a precious child of God, made in the Image and Likeness of God like all of us. Yeah, I don't know why he would steal a boat when all he had to do was ask the owner if he could borrow the boat or work for the money to rent one to use for his leisure. But before that, would he at least be smart enough not to steal a car to get there? Daniel has lied to me, I forgive him and love him for who he is. When he willfully turns to God in prayer, this is where he improves in his weaknesses. Sure, we're all wounded by original sin. Our own human nature is weak. Jesus gives us the free-choice to accept Him or to deny Him. May God grant us the grace to have the strength to persevere in holiness and to truly live out the Pater Noster (the Lord's Prayer.) "Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven." and "Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked me." (Heb 3:15) and please pray for my brother for those looking at these comments. (James 3:16) God Bless! Wednesday, November 11, 2020
