MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR CHILD MURDER

(August 18, 2026) Georgetown County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested James Tillman Bradley, II, on charges of murder/homicide by child abuse. Bradley was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center this afternoon awaiting a bond hearing.

This is the second set of charges for Bradley, 33, in the death of a 2-year-old victim who died in April from blunt force trauma injuries. Bradley was arrested in May on charges of unlawfully placing a child at risk or causing harm. The new set of charges, which carry a mandatory sentence of 20 years in prison, are the result of evidence from the completed autopsy.

The child’s mother, Deanna Hilliard, was arrested in April on charges of unlawful conduct toward a child resulting in death. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 843-546-5102.
