Uniform Patrol

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Uniform Patrol responds to calls for service and patrols the neighborhoods and business areas throughout the county. The uniform patrol deputies work in one of six patrol zones throughout the county. The uniform patrol deputy is the primary responder to law enforcement incidents and calls for service. Patrol deputies are dispatched to calls for service from the emergency communications center. If a patrol deputy is needed for an emergency dial 9-1-1. For non-emergencies that require a deputy’s assistance please call the emergency communications center at (843) 546-5101.

Warrants Unit

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Warrants Unit is responsible for the management and service of arrest warrants issued and served in Georgetown County. The unit tracks and apprehends suspects who have a warrant issued for their arrest. The public can reach the warrants unit of the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5102.

K-9 Unit

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has K-9 unit deputies and dogs that are used to search for illegal narcotics, suspect tracking and suspect apprehension. A deputy is assigned as a full-time handler for each dog. The K-9 Unit also works with the uniform patrol to answer calls for service and supports other units which need K-9 assistance. The K-9 unit also works with school officials to locate illegal narcotics on school property.
