MAN CHARGED IN SANTEE COOPER FIREARM INCIDENT

Sheriff Carter Weaver has announced the arrest of 29-year-old Darius Green for Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at Santee Cooper’s Winyah Generating Station on September 29, 2025.
Green, who was working as a contractor, fled the scene after a brief altercation and was later located in the Bucksport area of Horry County where deputies from Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and Horry County Police took him into custody.
He was transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
