BODY RECOVERED FROM RIVER

Sheriff Carter Weaver has announced the body of a man who drowned while swimming near Sandy Island was recovered the next day, September 22.
Divers from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources located the body of Nicholas Thomas Hold, 28, of Murrells Inlet shortly after noon today.
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office marine units coordinated with DNR and Midway Fire Rescue in the search and recovery.
